Travellers who stay in a risk area, defined by the German Robert Koch Institute for up to 14 days before entering Germany, are obliged to go directly home or to another suitable accommodation in quarantine (14 days). They are also obliged to provide their contact and travel details. An online form is available to passengers travelling between Switzerland and Germany for this purpose at: www.bahn.de/corona
Excluded from this rule are i. a. journeys that are absolutely necessary for professional or medical reasons.
Also excluded are entries with a stay of less than 24 hours from border regions into the federal state (Bundesland) of Baden-Württemberg in accordance with § 4 of the regulation of the Ministry of Social Affairs Baden-Württemberg.
